Madakaripura Waterfall

Whenever a traveler leaves the overrated “paradise” of Bali for a glimpse of Java, Bromo-Tengger Caldera tops the list of places to visit. It’s quite surprising that one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Java, Madakaripura, remains mostly unknown despite its proximity to Gunung Bromo. An hour away from Cemoro Lawang village, where all the tourists stay, this kingdom of water has it all.

Concise Guide to Mount Bromo

Mount Bromo is a part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park that covers a massive area of 800 square km. While it may be small when measured against other volcanoes in Indonesia, the magnificent Mt Bromo will not disappoint with its spectacular views and dramatic landscapes. At 2,392 meters tall, Mt Bromo is not among the tallest of Indonesia’s mountains but its stunning beauty lies in its incredible setting.

Closure Notice

Mount Bromo will be closed from 25th – 26th April and Mount Ijen will be closed from 3rd – 5th May. If you wish to book a package with these dates, kindly contact us via Whatsapp (+65 8171 1149) should you require any assistance.

In addition, Madakaripura Waterfall is closed as the bridge to the waterfall has collapsed due to heavy rainfall. We anticipate the waterfall to reopen only in mid June but please note that the reopening may be delayed. For those who still want to consider the packages with Madakaripura waterfall, please note there is NO change in cost as the entrance fee is not inclusive in our package.

We highly recommend all customers who are interested to travel with us in April to June to consider our 3D2N / 4D3N Tumpak Sewu waterfall packages. Affected customers should have been informed and provided alternatives to your current itinerary. Otherwise, please contact us via Whatsapp and we’ll get back to you within 1 working day. We’ll be happy to assist you with your queries.
