This tour is suitable for friends, co-workers and lovers. The Mount Semeru Summit will be tiring and we recommend it as a medium to high difficulty level. Hotel pick-up and drop-off in central Surabaya provided. Airport pick-up and drop-off can be arranged.

Trip Itineraries:
Day 1
Day 1: Surabaya / Malang – Ranupanee
- Pick-up from Airport/Hotel/Train Station in Surabaya. We will receive you with a placard and liase with you 1-2 days through Whatsapp before the trip.
- Travel to Malang Tumpang, duration is around 3 hours
- Proceed to Ranupane Village, duration is around 1.5 hours. We will check into a homestay to rest for the night.
- Enjoy dinner in the village.
- Rest and prepare for Mount Semeru Summit
Day 2
Day 2: Ranupane – Ranu Kumbolo – Kalimati
- Have an early morning breakfast from ranupane at about 8-9am.
- Start trekking to Ranu Kumbolo lake for about 10 km, the estimated time is 4 hours. Ranu Kumbolo is situated on a valley with the lake covering 12 ha. It is a rest area which has views and upland ecosystems, located at altitude of 2400 above sea level.
- Take a break for lunch and rest
- Continue the trip to Kalimati, estimated time is 3 hours
- Enjoy dinner at 6pm
- Stay overnight in tents and rest.
Day 3
Day 3: Kalimati – Mount Semeru Summit – Ranu Kumbolo – Surabaya
- Rise and shine at midnight to take a coffee break before trekking up Mount Semeru.
- Start climbing to the summit of Mount Semeru (3,676 M) via Arcopodo (2900 mtr asl) and Cemoro Tunggal (3200 mtr asl) at 1am
- Reach the crater’s rim by walking for 4 hours. We aim to reach the sunrise point by 5.30-6am to catch the sunrise.
- In the crater’s rim we will take some photographs and rest for a while.
- Descend down to Kalimati base camp (2700 mtr asl) to rest and have breakfast, it will take 1.5-2 hours to walk down from the peak to Kalimati base camp.
- After breakfast, trek back to Ranu Kumbolo lake for around 2-3 hours
- Take a break and have lunch
- Continue to Ranu Pane and transfer to Tumpang village by Jeep 4WD
- Back to Surabaya, drop off at Surabaya Juanda International Airport for your flight or any hotel in Surabaya

This is the most popular itinerary among the customers. However, if you want to add, change or skip some attractions, we can customise itinerary for you. All the attractions and activities are optional, you can always skip if you don’t want to go. You can leave a note when you check out or tell our guide in the tour.
The entrance fees have various pricing i.e. foreigner, local rate, peak prices etc. It would be better that the customer pay on the spot depending on his/her nationality. Also, it will solve the refund issue if you choose not to go to the attraction when you are on the tour.
Here we compiled the entrance fees some of the major attractions of Surabaya as well as the activities offered at each attraction. Rates may vary according to season and nationality.
- Entrance fees: Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Estimated at Rupiah 350,000; Madakaripura Waterfalls & Motorbike Estimated at Rupiah 200,000, Kawah Ijen Estimated at Rupiah 250,000
- Activity fees: Donkey/Horse ride (rent) to carry customer up to Mount Bromo (Estimated at Rupiah 150,000 for round trip)
We have included all that is needed except for :
- Entrance fees
- Lunch and dinner: 50,000 rupiah per meal per person but depends on what you order and where you dine.
- Tips: Optional but recommend in Indonesia
The rest that is not covered will be your personal travel insurance, personal expenses like souvenirs etc
In general, the period between March till November are the best months to visit Indonesia. This is the period of the dry season.
With that being said, we recommend customers not to be too bothered by it because you are only here for a few days , it is no guarantee that even if you come in the dry season, it won’t rain or it will always be rainy during the monsoon season. We believe alot is down to luck. December/August are still the peak period of tourist in Indonesia.
Return airport transfer service is included. We would pick you up at Surabaya airport on your arrival time on day 1. If you are already in Surabaya, we would pick you up at your hotel at around 9am instead. On the last day, we would offer free airport transfer from your hotel.
