Yes — the 2-day Bromo Ijen format is the most popular itinerary for travellers who want both volcanoes without taking extra leave. Day 1 covers Mount Bromo’s sunrise from Penanjakan viewpoint and crater walk. Day 2 covers Ijen’s blue fire hike (midnight to dawn). The key is the overnight transfer between them — your guide manages all logistics so you simply sleep, wake, and experience.
Our private 2D1N packages start from SGD 199/pax (homestay, Bromo only) and go up to SGD 229/pax (homestay, Bromo + Ijen, or Ijen-from-Bali). Hotel upgrades, Bali drop-off, and Milky Way add-ons are available.
Hotel packages (from SGD 219) provide more comfortable accommodation with en-suite bathrooms and higher star ratings — ideal for couples or those who value comfort between the two hikes. Homestay packages (from SGD 199) position you closest to the Bromo crater, reduce morning transfer time, and give a more authentic local East Java experience. Both are private, all-inclusive, and depart daily.
Your driver picks you up from Surabaya or Malang at midnight or 01:00 AM on Day 1. The tour ends the following day (Day 2) at approximately 08:00–10:00 AM after the Ijen descent, with drop-off at your choice of Banyuwangi, Surabaya, Malang, or the Ketapang ferry terminal to Bali. The entire 2-day Bromo Ijen experience runs approximately 32–36 hours.
Mount Bromo is straightforward — a short walk across sandy terrain plus 253 steps to the crater rim, suitable for ages 5–70. Mount Ijen is more demanding — a 2–3 hour ascent with steep sections, suitable for ages 12–65 with moderate fitness. The blue fire viewing area inside the crater requires descending another 20–30 minutes on loose volcanic rock. Our guides pace the group to your speed and will never leave anyone behind.
Yes — this is one of our most popular route options. After the Ijen blue fire hike, your driver transfers you to Ketapang Harbour (Banyuwangi) to catch the short ferry to Bali. This is an ideal way to combine a Bromo Ijen 2-day tour with a longer Bali holiday. We also offer a dedicated 2-day Ijen Blue Fire Tour From Bali for travellers starting in the other direction.
Warm jacket (temperatures drop to 5–10°C at dawn), gloves, beanie, closed-toe trekking shoes, headlamp (we also provide one), camera, power bank, cash in IDR, and a small backpack. We send a full packing list after booking.
No operator can guarantee the blue fire — it depends on weather, sulfur activity, and national park access. In our 10 years of operating, sightings are frequent but not 100%. We’ll still complete the full Ijen crater hike if the blue fire isn’t visible.
