Highly recommend Tour Mount Bromo. Alex is very helpful in helping choose the right plan for your needs. Oni and Rama were fantastic guides on the ground. They planned everything for us and provided us all the right viewpoints and times to shoot the Milky Way and sunrise at Mt Bromo. Rama recommended all the must-try food items of the region and we loved all of it! Keep up the good work guys!

I took my 9 year old daughter with me on this tour. The trip couldn’t have been smoother. Gilang, the local coordinator, got in touch the day before and gave me the drivers name and contact info. Pickup was smooth and as expected at 11:30pm with a private car as promised. It was about a 2.5 hour drive from Surabaya to the Jeep transfer point, and another hour or so in the Jeep to Mt Bromo. We had coffee and tea while we waited for sunrise. The views were great and the tour guides very helpful!

This is a very interesting trip if you don’t have a lot of time but still want to experience the sunrise at Mount Bromo and visit the crater. I went there before when I was a kid long time ago but wanted to experience it again with my wife. The whole trip takes less then 12 hours (if you don’t visit the waterfalls) and there is no need to stay overnight in a hotel but it quite tiring as you leave in the middle of the night and will have a very active early morning. At least you can rest in the car.

The service and the friendliness of our tour guide and drivers was overall good. Not much explanation from our guide but helpful if you have questions. I really enjoyed the ride with the Jeep up the mountain, it is amazing to see how many of those colorful Jeeps are going up every morning carrying tourists to the viewpoints. Walking up to Mount Bromo and the crater, our guide stayed with the driver at the car, which was fine but just to keep in mind that the guide didn’t accompany us all the time. Also water and refreshments were not provided like said in the tour description which was ok since we had our own. All in all I would still recommend that tour since it is one of the easiest way to visit Mount Bromo if you don’t have a lot of time.

If I could give this review 10Stars I would not hesitate to do so. Although there are multiple places to have your base to visit amount Bromo, I chose Surabaya, the capital of East Java, as my base. I booked my trip to Mount Bromo with tourmountbromo dot com and was immediately send a confirmation with contact details of who will be picking me up and followed up with me on my latest location so that it will be convenient for me as long I’m in the city area of Surabaya. Both contacts from Singapore and Surabaya were very efficient in making sure the travel arrangements are all confirmed and secured, so as to avoid any misunderstandings.

So now to my overall experience:
    IT WAS BEYOND MY EXPECTATIONS!!!
I never thought that it was going to be that awesome! The guides became my friends and they really helped me look out for the best places to take pictures of the sunrise at Mount Bromo. The scenery was breathtaking – it’s not everyday I came across a moon like landscape with clouds beneath me and above me. It was surreal. Like my guide turned friends Gilang & Segar told me, the best part of the entire experience was the ‘mystique’ of the volcano and its surround landscape. When I stood there above the clouds overlooking the crater and the surreal landscape, I couldn’t help think what a tiny place I occupy in this world. It made me very modest. It was also not an ordinary sight to peek inside the crater and see the white coloured fumes and fiery sounds from the bottom of the crater of Mt Bromo.

    Thanks:
To all the people that made this journey possible. It was beyond my expectations and I went back Surabaya exhausted, drained from all the adrenaline I had, but it was so worth it. Thank you Gilang for being an awesome person throughout the trip and looking forward to visit you in Malang soon. Thanks to Segar who showed me all the ‘less visited’ places so I can get a good view of the sunrise, and accompanied me all the way up to the crater. Will definitely visit you guys back in Malang/Surabaya soon.

Do not hesitate to book your trips with them. They do take pride in their work and that speaks volumes about their working integrity that channels into making your travel experience awesome.

Booked a 1 Day Trip To Mount Bromo from Surabaya just days before and was allocated to guide Cici who arranged everything for us. It was a hassle free trip and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! There was about a 2h wait in the darkness for the sunrise but once the sun rose and we made our way to the crater it was just breathtaking and a sight to behold. The journey towards the crater was in itself an experience. After, Cici introduced us to a local restaurant which serves great authentic local cuisine. Cici and the driver kindly drove us to the airport as we had a flight to catch. All in all, it was a lovely trip made even better by Cici.

    Amazing experience
I did a one day tour to mount Bromo from Surabaya. View of the volcano from the sunrise point is truly breathtaking. Climb to the crater is also not so demanding. Seeing an active volcano so close is definitely an amazing experience. Our tour guide was really friendly and helped to take some awesome pictures. Before and during the trip, tour company and the guide did an excellent job in keeping us posted about the arrangements. Overall, the entire trip is a beautiful memory to cherish.

Booked the day trip tour to Mt Bromo from the website. Payment was straightforward and communication between the agent and tour guide was seamless! We were picked up promptly from our hotel just before midnight and we had more enough time to visit each of the different sites in Mt Bromo! All in all, it was a wonderful and memorable tour!

Hands down one of the highlights of my Indonesia trip. This tour is everything you want when you’re doing Bromo. Everything ran smoothly and we had a very professional yet funny guide! We had an amazing time doing this tour and would def do it again! Make sure you get lots of rest the day before as you will start super early if you’re doing the sunrise tour (which I recommend). Overall, very satisfied I went with Tour Mount Bromo!

It was a last minute tour. Tha ks to the tpur agent able to make the arrangement.

We didnt aim for the sunrise, depart from.Surabaya at 8am. Arriving Bromo at 11.30am. The weather is just nice. The scenary is magnificent. Spend about 2hour at the crater.

At 3pm, head to water falls. The water falls trip is abit rush cause is getting dark. The water falls from ~10storeys height, makes a wonderful scene.

Overall, the trip worth for 3hour drive.

We got picked up from our hotel in Surabaya at 1130pm by our tour guide Gilang. He then drove us 3 hours to the drop off point to change cars into a Jeep which then took us up Mount Bromo which took another 1hr. Be prepared for a very bumpy ride up!

We then waited at the top for the sunrise over Bromo (wear warm clothes it’s cold). Unfortunately when we went, there was cloud cover so we didn’t get to see the sunrise! We waited around for a bit to see if the clouds parted, but they didn’t so we were a bit disappointed. When we went back to the jeep and descended down the mountain…OH BEHOLD BROMO! It was amazing. We got below the clouds and saw the spectacular views of Bromo. We got really lucky actually as we didn’t think we would see it.

Be prepared for a lack/no sleep though. The roads are bumpy and it’s a really long drive. But if you are lucky you will see a natural beauty that is Mount Bromo.

After Bromo, we then got taken down to do about a 30min walk up to the crater. 241 steps to the top! Don’t take the horses…so cruel seeing large men ride tiny horses which are clearly too small to carry their weight. Actually walk up it and feel a sense of accomplishment!

Once we did the crater, we then got taken to a few more view points for photos but to be honest the tour could do without it.

The jeep then dropped us back with Gilang at the bottom of Bromo and we then had about another 1hr drive to the waterfalls. You will get wet! We had raincoats so was fine. You don’t get absolutely drenched but you do have to pass under bits of running water and also you walk almost knee deep in the water. By no means is it Niagara Falls or Iguazu which I have been to but it was nice to see.

All in all a good tour and would recommend. Alex contacts you the day you do the tour to make sure you have everything you need for it. I asked him questions about weather, what to bring etc like your own food.
