Surabaya: When best to visit?
We get asked this question a lot. Well, Surabaya is just 2 hours’ flight from Singapore, so it’s not like we are flying to another hemisphere or a different climatic zone.
Surabaya is near the equator and experiences tropical climate just like Singapore. Here’s the low down:
January – The wettest month is January with an average of 196.2mm of rain (in contrast, Singapore gets an average of 269mm of rain in our wettest month, December)
April – April is sunshine month, with the most daily sunshine – 9 hours.
May – May is the hottest month in Surabaya with an average temperature of 24°C and
August – The coolest month is August with an average temperature of 23°C, a mere 1°C less than May.
Otherwise, the best time to go to Surabaya is now!
